COOKIES (Chickasaw)
Cream shortening and sugar (That is the fancy cookbook way of saying, “Mix up the shortening and sugar real good first”) Add eggs, pumpkin and spices. Blend well. Sift four, and brown sugar together and add to pumpkin mixture. Blend until smooth. Stir in raisins, nuts and lemon extract Drop by tsps onto greased cookie sheet Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes Depends on how big the cookies are but makes about 3 dozen. |
